Very well done. It should clear up all the questions about the subject of Atheism.

I’m in my 70’s and it wasn’t until I got my 1st computer some 12 years ago that I even realized that I was an atheist. Prior to that I just never really thought about it. That would be because my
parents didn’t push religion at me as a child. I went from day to day oblivious of the fact that there are people who are really screwed up about religion. Yeh, I heard about the “Holy Rollers”
, Catholics, etc. but never gave them much thought because in my early days, here in Canada,
no one really bothered me because I didn’t attend church except for funerals and weddings. The word “atheist” was never mentioned.

I began researching different things when I got my computer and found that here was a real movement out there concerning the non-belief in god(s). I have since read Dawkins, Harris, Dennet,Hitchens, et al and suddenly it was clear,
    I was an atheist.

I always knew that the religions were money making schemes and that it was big business. The
Vatican, for instance, a huge collection of wealth. It seemed rather odd how they held onto all that wealth and still made the believers build their own buildings and they seldom ever gave anything back to the needy.

Peter Poppof, Benny Hinn, Pat Roberston, the late Jerry Falwell and many more seem to collect money
by the boat load while really accomplishing nothing for the ones who seem to need them.

In my research on religion I found it to be a very dangerous concept which if allowed to gain too much strength would become so dangerous that it could cause the end of the world as we know it.

    Sarah Palin’s radical religious fantasies
should not be allowed into government. Because if she believes in witches and witchcraft we will all have a lot to lose should McCain kick it while president. I can see her putting mandatory attendance at church into law, women’s rights about abortion will be trampled, not to mention
doing something stupid enough to cause her version of the “end of times”.

I think atheism is a way to have checks and balances on the delusional thinking, religious zealots that are running amok in society today.
